Spirit has put together some amazing ingredients to wonderfully connect North America and South America. Star was born and resides in Santa Barbara, California and Roger was born and resides in Cuzco, Peru. (Santa Barbara and Cuzco are sister cities.) Star Riparetti has been preparing for this work most of her life. She had a fourteen year career in vibrational medicine as chief technician and director of the school of nuclear medicine at the cancer foundation of Santa Barbara, then moved to the other end of the spectrum- from isotopes to essences of flowers- both energetic medicine. Star has been working with flower essences for over 14 years and is accredited by the Bach Society and FES. She started Star Flower Essences in 1994. Making the flower essences makes her heart sing - which for her is an indicator of her right path. Star teaches flower essence certification classes and speaks about her passion - the flower essences - whenever she has the opportunity. She also works with essential oils, does yoga, teaches t'ai chi chih, spends lots of time in nature, builds houses, plays with the angels (including her two beautiful granddaughters) and takes groups to Peru.
Roger Valencia is the Peruvian connection for the Andean orchid flower essence project. Roger was born in Cuzco and educated in Lima. He has a degrees in business, in chemistry and in tourism. He is fluent in five languages including Quechua, which is one of the languages of the indigenous people of Peru. He is an awesome guide and an avid botanist. He co-founded a non-profit organization called "Pacha" (meaning earth in Quechua) whose function is to plant trees. His hobby is orchids in the wild - he loves them. He has written a book about Andean orchids and has a wonderful relationship with them. Roger has an uncanny ability to find the orchids - they come out to say hello when he is around. Before meeting Star he studied them mostly from a botanical, scientific viewpoint. Since making and working with the flower essences he has become a flower essence enthusiast and now teaches and gives talks on them. Roger lives in Cuzco with his wife and two sons. As a highly respected guide for treks into the rugged Andes, he specializes in spiritual adventures.
Roger and Star also co-create trips to Peru, (Ask about the next trip!). They have created a set of four audio tapes, are currently working on a book, plan to do a video tape next year, and are building a retreat in Peru; a healing center - a place for growing things consciously - based on reverence for all life, so that more folks can go to Peru and have that cross-cultural exchange, be in a non-material world and experience the special vibration there. They also co-created The Star Pocket Oracle.
