Equinox March 15 - 23, 2012

optional Andean Lodge Addition March 23 - 27, 2012

Itinerary:

Thursday, March 15

Arrive in Lima and Fly to Cuzco; City Tour.

From Lima, board a plane and fly over the Andes to the magical city of Cuzco. We will be picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel, in heart of the city of Cuzco (and we will have been taking Travel Solution). We will have a mandatory rest.  This allows us to adjust to the altitude,  and---we begin to attune to the some of the highest frequencies on Mother Earth.

We will take a walk about through the cobblestone streets of historical Cuzco- a powerful vortex.  We will have an opportunity to change money.  We will be seeing palaces, temples, amazing stonework- getting acquainted with and feeling the energy of this beautiful city. We will visit the old market- Mercado Central- and the witch doctor stalls and probably purchase some fruit and other goodies.  We will have an early night to sleep.

Overnight at San Isidro Labrador Hostal or similar. Welcome Dinner included.

Friday, March 16

Sacsayhuaman and City tour.

In the morning we will make our way to Sacsayhuaman, which literally translates to “Decorated head of the Puma.”  This was the ruling palace of the Inca that contained a temple where the living god directed his people.  The stone work will amaze you, and trigger you!

In the afternoon, we will walk along the streets and marvel at the flawless Incan stonework and picture a time and place when the Incas once had a massive empire.  We start our visit with a walk around the colonial Plaza de Armas, visiting the Cathedral, which contains one of the city’s greatest repositories of colonial art.  Following the Cathedral we will be admitted to view the archbishop’s private collection of interesting local colonial and Indian pieces of art.  We will also visit San Blas- the street of the artists, and mingle with the locals.

Overnight at San Isidro Labrador Hostal. Brunch included.

Saturday, March 17

Southern Valley of Cusco and Pisac; Blessing; Weaving Demonstration.

Drive to Southern Valley of Cuzco where our first stop will be to enjoy the wonderful scenery  of the Lake of Huacarpay, then drive to San Salvador.  Here we will have a special "despacho" (a prayer, a payment to the earth),  a ceremony/ritual to bless our trip, done with an extraordinary Shaman from Ausangate who is a friend of ours.  We know that doing ritual and ceremony opens up our consciousness.

After a lovingly prepared delicious lunch we continue our trip to the typical indigenous village of Pisac, to enjoy and walk about the colorful Pisac Market.  Perhaps there will be time for a walk over some ancient Inca trails at Pisac, to observe an amazing sequence of terraces.

Back to the market for some bread fresh out of the oven and some freshly squeezed orange juice.

Overnight at Hotel Valle Sagrado or similar. Breakfast, picnic Lunch included.

Sunday, March 18

Maras and Ollantaytambo.

In the morning, we travel across a high rolling plain with magnificent views of Andean snow peaks to visit the famous Salt Ponds of Maras, where the local people have been processing and harvesting salt for over 1000 years.  Before we return to the hotel, we will drive to check out the spectacular temple-fortress and village of Ollantaytambo, a site that has changed little from the days of the Incas.  Massive stones were carried over 16 kms to the site, the building ramps are still here.

Overnight at Hacienda Valle Sagrado hotel or similar. Breakfast, Lunch and vegetarian Dinner included.

Monday, March 19

Trip to Machu Picchu.

7:15am departure from the hotel to Ollantaytambo train station to board the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu.  The rail journey is one of the most spectacular in the world.  The rail line follows the Urubamba River through the spectacular Canyon of Vilcanota to the Lost City of the Incas. After check in at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, we will have lunch at Indio Feliz (where I will probably not stick to raw, because I love their fresh fried potato chips so much).

Then we will take the zig zag road in the bus to the top of the mountain, to the sacred site of Machu Picchu. We choose the afternoon hours because the sunset is one of the most beautiful moments in the Sanctuary, and there is almost no one in the site.

Depending on the time of our return - If anyone is feeling up to it, we can visit the hot springs- Aguas Calientes.

We will have plenty of time to explore the  site of Machu Picchu together, and on our own.  Often something magical happens for me with just a brief meditation by myself.

Overnight at Presidente Hotel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Tuesday, March 20

Machu Picchu; Optional Hikes.

6am optional poetry visit in Machu Picchu, an early morning tour to read some poems, and to admire Mapi at the first light...  Our guide will explore with You some of the most interesting aspects of this ceremonial site.

We have the whole day to absorb the splendor and the energy of this magnificent site.  Do photography.  Those who would like to can climb Huayna Picchu, an  offerings place to worship all the great mountain gods, like Salcantay, Pumasillo , and Huacyhuillca that are visible from this summit...  Wherever you go today, take some time to  get personal with the mountain. We will do a meditation for the Equinox, and connect with people all over the world that will also be meditating.

Afternoon at Leisure.  Could be more hiking, meditating, back to town, talking to the local kids, shopping, hot springs, integrating, absorbing what is happening.

Overnight at Presidente Hotel. Breakfast and Dinner included.

Wednesday, March 21

During the morning we will have time to visit and explore around Machu  Picchu.

Stroll among the alpacas...

Extended Itinerary:

Friday, March 23

Drive to Chillca  Tambo.

Early in the morning after breakfast we drive to Checacupe and then  we start ascending the Pitumarca Valley along the spectacular gorge to Japura—to Chillca.  Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the community of Chillca.  It is a short and beautiful walk to the  Chillca Lodge.

It is so exciting that we get to go here. This is an area that is so pure - you will revel in the sweetness.  This area is the most gorgeous place to walk about in, as we stroll among the alpacas.  It is surreal, and for me so blissfilled!  Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the community of Chillca.  From there it is a short walk to the Chillca lodge.  Once at the lodge we can put on our alpaca slippers and relax and enjoy music provided by the locals of Chillca.  This is a special treat.  The people of Peru are my favorite part.

Apu Ausangate Lodge.  Absolutely Glorious.  Enjoy.

Overnight at Chillca Tambo. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Saturday, March 24

Chillca.

Full  day  to explore and enjoy the magnificent scenery and the landscape and Nature.  Talk to the alpacas.  They are very special.  Find one in particular to connect with.

Channeled from Lord Kuthumi: "The Alpacas hold the energy of the Sixth Dimensional fluid love within their genetic structure.  It is through their fleece that one can access these very pure energies.  These creatures hold a very high vibration.  We will attune your energies to the sacred vibration of the Alpacas.  This links you to all the sacred vortices around the planet that access the Sixth Universe.  It is only through the fluid consciousness of fluid love that one can penetrate the realms of the abundance we speak of, this  means that each and every one of you who are ready for this now step into a new level of your own power - another dimension of discovering the alchemist within."

The energy here will change you forever.
